Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 1.17.20.22 beta changes how monsters spawn in darkness

Whatever time you think Minecraft couldn't possibly become more hectic with new updates and planned changes, Mojang Studios surprises you. Arriving presently afterward the official release of update ane.17.10, Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is grabbing Beta 1.17.20.22 with a host of new bug fixes, changes, and an exciting alteration to Minecraft. If you've ever been annoying by a creeper or other monster spawning in your home despite your plethora of lights, this beta is for you.

Aside from the usual fixes and improvements expected of a Minecraft: Bedrock Edition beta, 1.17.20.22 includes one major alter stashed underneath the "Experimental features" toggle. No, you won't notice whatsoever new Caves and Cliffs Update features from 1.18 Role Two, which should release later this year. Instead, Mojang Studios has made a fundamental change to the way monsters spawn in the earth — something that has remained mostly untouched since Minecraft'south inception.

Now, hostile mobs will only spawn in places of complete darkness. This doesn't employ to low-cal coming from the heaven, only does affect all block lights. That means just blocks that aren't existence touched by candles, torches, redstone lanterns, or any other form of calorie-free can spawn a baddie. This is useful for lighting the more varied and larger caves present in 1.18 Caves and Cliffs Update Part Two, but is also extremely useful for thespian builds that benefit from slightly more sparse lighting.

I recently discussed why Minecraft is the greatest game always fabricated, and these kinds of smart changes certainly plays into that. If y'all're a huge Minecraft fan (or know someone who is), consider perusing our list of best Minecraft toys for some great ideas.
